This is our most-requested recipe — the soup that made us believe soup could truly be the meal.
The first time we made it was for a dinner party. It held the table, invited second bowls, and became the dish friends and family kept coming back to. Ever since, it’s been our house classic.
Our version starts with a slow-simmered base of fire-roasted tomatoes, onion, carrot, and celery. It’s warmed with cumin and red pepper flakes and finished with just enough lime to bring everything into balance.
Rich without being heavy. Comforting without feeling flat.
Paired with our house-made sourdough chips, it’s the kind of soup that belongs at the Sunday table — and somehow still feels exactly right on a Tuesday night.
